About:
1. Step 4: Fixing the clash 1.1 - In this step, we will eliminate the clash between the Connector Card Assembly and Connector Shells by editing the Connector Shell in-context of the assembly. We will modify the design of the Connector Shell. As the Top Shell and the Bottom Shell are the two instances of the same Shell, we need to modify only the source Connector Shell. This will modify both instances. Starting from the Connector Assembly that you saved in step 2 or 3 (ConnectorAssembly_withClashes for us), hide the bottom shell component by selecting the Hide/Show tool . Open the Top Shell node in the tree and double click on the Connector Shell CATPart icon to enter the Part Design workbench. Select the Hide / Show tool and show the xy, yz and zx planes of the Connector Shell Select the Plane tool and create a plane offset from zx plane in the direction as shown.
Vice Assembly Exercise 1. Step 3: Editing Parts 1.1 - Firstly, we are going to modify in the context of the assembly, the design of 2ndStaticJaw.CATPart Load the file called CATASMViceAssemblyStep3.CATProduct from the Companion. Double click on 2ndStaticJaw part to activate it.
